Text Box: Summer Junior Golf Clinic 2010

Throughout the last decade, one of the fastest growing sports in the world has been golf. The benefits of learning the game of golf are far-reaching. Besides being a life-long sport, it also teaches discipline, proper etiquette, and patience, which are skills that children need today to be successful in life.
This summer, Willowbrook Golf Club is sponsoring a series of Junior Golf Clinics, to be held on Wednesdays July 7th, July 14th, July 28th, and August 4th from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The clinics are being offered to all interested students for a charge of $30.00 for the series.
Instruction will be provided by Doug McDavitt, PGA Professional; Fred Clarke, Bill Brogan, Sue Brogan, Watertown City School District (Retired); Tom Turgeon (Varsity Golf Coach at Indian River Central School); Adam Brown (South Jefferson School District). The participants will be divided into groups by age and skill level to allow for quality instruction.
Mr. McDavitt has asked that you sign your children up in advance. This will allow him to make sure that he has adequate staff to provide individual attention for each junior golfer.
Willowbrook is also offering student memberships to all students under the age of 18 for a price of $75.00. This is an excellent value and will give our students hours of entertainment throughout the summer. If you are interested in signing up your child for either the golf clinic or for a summer golf membership, you should contact Willowbrook Golf Club at 782-8192.
